In the first of NHF´s meetings of 2010, Tore H. Vigerust lectures on "Sea creatures /fish in early norwegian heraldry". As usual the meeting will be held on the premises of Norsk Slektshistorisk Forening og DIS-Norge in Lakkegata 19/21, 4th floor (with lift) - within short walking distance of Grønland underground (T-bane) station and Hausmanns gate tram stop (trams 11, 12, 13, 17, bus 30, 31). Meetings start 7.00pm See also the Activity Calender, which is now updated with planned meetings and activities for the spring and summer of 2010. |

Våpenbrevet in the mail soon!
The Journal of the Norwegian Heraldry Society– ”Våpenbrevet” is now entering it´s 36th year of publication, and the next edition (number 82) will soon be ready for distribution. ”Våpenbrevet” has a central place in the Society, and members are proud of the quality and scope of it´s articles. Printed in colour since 2008, the journal har also become more visually attractive, and heraldry´s dramatic tinctures now grace it´s pages. More..>> |

Knowledge of heraldry has never before been so widely available. Even better - we can all contribute according to our abilities!
